Forest reserves are specific areas gazetted for government forests. Forest reserves are filled with woodlands, most commonly miombo/brachastegia woodlands, and a striking variety of plants and indigenous trees.
Formally known as Angonia Heritage Game Reserve, the Dzalanyama Forest Reserve is located 40 kilometres away from Lilongwe.
