Republic of Malawi
Situated at the peak of the beautiful Zomba Mountain, the Zomba Mountain Plantation covers an area of 2,003 hectares with dominant species such as pinus patula, orcapa and taida. There are also plots of Mulanje Cedar within this plantation. The plantation is one of the most patronized tourist attractions in Malawi. The mountain is famous for hiking, trekking and site seeing at the Queens and Emperors Peaks. The Mountain also hosts Chingwe and Mulunguzi Dams which both provide water to Zomba District. Another attraction is Chingwe Hole where, in Malawi's history, people of leprosy used to be abandoned.
